Celebrating International Women's Day 2021 - Jennifer

To celebrate International Women's Day, we asked some of the fantastic women in the QANW team to tell what they #ChooseToChallenge this #IWD2021

Jennifer Reid - Director of Customer Relations

How many years have your worked at QANW?

20 years

How do you help contractors/members?

By helping to select and recruit the best candidates to join our group, I am able to ensure excellent customer service for our members/contractors from well-trained teams who have the customer’s needs at the very core of the business.

What are you choosing to challenge this International Women's Day:

I challenge that we fight work-place bias. Together we can empower each other to identify and challenge bias and work together to eliminate this.

Out of work hobbies:

I enjoy spending time socialising with friends and family although as we all know this has been difficult over the last year.

Favourite thing about working at QANW:

My favourite thing about working at QANW is the team. We all share the same vision and pull together in the same direction, which creates an environment where everybody is there for each other. There is a genuine spirit of co-operation with a focus on helping the customer. We all support each other and work collaboratively, which means I can enjoy going to work every day with a great team around me.

Woman in business you admire and why:

I admire Justine Roberts, the Founder and CEO of Mumsnet.

Mumsnet was created 20 years ago originally as a website where parents could pool knowledge, experience and support to make their lives a little easier but has since grown into the UK’s busiest social network for parents.

Justine has created a place where women can go to communicate with each other not only to swap ideas but to get support and advice on so much more than just parenting. Mumsnet really is a place where women support women in terms of the both the personal and work-related issues they face. Someone once said, ‘Mumsnet is like having 24-hour access to a million big sisters’, which is invaluable and so true!
